Hello. We are planning on spending Christmas Day at Disney and are wondering if there will be Christmas dinner dining options?

    Happy Holidays, Sarah!

I love this question. It brings back such wonderful memories for me. My very first visit to the Disneyland Resort was on Christmas Day. It was such a special memory that I will always treasure.

First, of all, we know that there will be various special dining options available during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort in general. Not the least of which will be the Festive Food Marketplace at various locations throughout Disney California Adventure Park. The talented nutritionists and chefs of the Disneyland Resort are likely busy developing new and interesting holiday offerings. So we may not know for certain what will be available during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort until much closer to the season.

I like to browse the Foodie Guide archives and the Holidays archive of the Disney Parks Blog to see what has been offered in the past to perhaps get a hint of what to expect in the future. Here's the Foodie Guide to the Disney Festival of Holidays 2024, for example. And here's the Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Holidays at Disneyland Resort 2024. You may notice in that Foodie Guide there was a note about a very special Storytellers Cafe Christmas Character Dinner last year! That was a special treat because characters at Storytellers Cafe are normally only available during brunch. Goofy's Kitchen also joined the holiday fun with daily brunch, lunch, and dinner options when Guests could enjoy dining with Goofy and his pals when they were dressed up in their holiday finest.

Unfortunately, we don't yet know the details about upcoming Christmas dinner options at the Disneyland Resort. However, I'm hopeful those links at least give you a taste of what you might expect coming up in December. In the meantime, keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news. And, by all means, please visit us again here at planDisney if you would like any recommendations or tips on how you can make the most of your Christmas vacation at the Disneyland Resort.

    Happy Christmas, Sarah!
