Planning to spend New Years Eve 2012 at Disney. 2 adults 4 kids ages 11-17. Staying in Orlando. To ensure that we can be in the park for midnight, what time should we arrive? What park do you recommend for New Years events at midnight?

    Hi Melissa!

There are only three parks available to celebrate New Year's Eve at:  the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Magic Kingdom will probably close due to capacity by mid-day if this year is like years past.  Thus I would definitely recommend getting there by Noon (if not earlier) if you would like to be in that park at midnight.

Epcot almost never closes due to capacity as it is capable of absorbing very large crowds.  Disney's Hollywood Studios probably won't close either if this year is like the recent past.

I recommend Epcot or the Studios as I think Magic Kingdom is difficult to get around when it is closed due to capacity.  Personally, I recommend the Studios because it will offer Fantasmic! and special fireworks giving you the best of both worlds.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
