Hi I am planning to spend about 4 days at a moderate resort and I was considering the royal guest rooms at PO Riverside. Are those royal guest rooms far from the dining hall and transportation? Also its a Halloween visit! any recommendations. Thanks.

    Hi Mykel!

You are going to love the Royal Guest Rooms at Port Orleans Resort-Riverside! I had the opportunity to see one in November of 2012 and it was simply amazing! The decor was incredible. I could sit and watch the fireworks in the headboards for hours. Yes, the Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a large resort, but the Royal Guest Rooms are located in the Magnolia Bend section of Port Orleans Resort-Riverside in Oak Manor (Building 90) and Parterre Place (Building 95). These two buildings are very close to the lobby, food court, and Disney bus transportation. AlI you have to do is walk over a short pedestrian bridge and you are there!

I would definitely recommend attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party if you are in Walt Disney World around Halloween (get your tickets early because it often sells out around Halloween)!  I could talk about how much I love Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for a long time! I have attended this amazing party three times since 2010 and I can't wait to go again this fall! Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a hard ticket event that is held on select nights in September and October at the Magic Kingdom. There are special shows (the Disney Villains come out to play), there is an amazing Halloween Parade, an incredible fireworks show, and Trick or Treating throughout the Magic Kingdom. Also kids and adults can come in costume and I would encourage you to come in costume to Mickey's Not -So-Scary Halloween Party because it adds to the fun of the whole night!

I hope that you have a truly magical time on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
