I am planning a very special trip to Disney with my family there will be 7 of us 3 adults and 4 kids. None of the kids have been to Disney nor has 1 of the adults. What suggestions do you have for making this a special trip for all. I am in a wheelchair

    Hi Billie,

Thanks for writing.  First trips are extra magical in my opinion.  How exciting that you have a crop of "first-timers" in tow!  I'd start by picking up some free "First Visit" pins at Guest Relations at whichever park you visit first. With a larger party, I highly recommend making advanced dining reservations for whichever group table-service meals you plan on sharing.  I think a celebratory character meal is a great way to jump-start your vacation.  Some of my favorites include Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom and Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom.  You can book a reservation up to 180 days in advance by calling 47-WDW-DINE.  With a larger group, it also helps to work out a general itinerary of what parks you intend to visit on which days, and have everyone discuss what attractions they most want to visit together as a group or separately in smaller groups.  This way, everyone will have a chance to see and do what they most want to.  Since you have some mobility issues, I also recommend you click HERE for more information for guests travelling with disabilities.  I think you'll find that Disney is very user-friendly for special needs guests.  The parks and resorts have accessible attractions, resorts and parade-viewing spots and other accommodations that will surely make your trip more successful.

I have a limited number of characters in which to respond, so feel free to write back with more questions, and happy planning!
