    We are planning our son's first trip to WDW in Sept. 2015. We're planning on eating at Chef Mickey's one morning. If we make a 7:30 ADR, is it possible to make it to rope drop?

    Hello Audrey!

    There is something extra special about a first trip to Walt Disney World.  You and your son must be so excited!  Typically park hours are released about 6 months in advance.  However, if we use September's calendar for this year as a guide, Magic Kingdom Park usually opens at 9am.  If you hope to be there for rope drop, you should be at the park around a half hour before posted park opening.  If you arrive a good 10 minutes  before your reservation and eat quickly, you may be able to make it.  Keep in mind that you can walk easily to Magic Kingdom from Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Keep an eye n the park hours and have a plan.
