We are planning on going for my sons birthday. He is turning 4 in the end of February. And I need help planning it out to fig out the prices. My whole family wants to go, so it’s 9 adults and 1 child

    Hello Michael,

Birthday celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort are always the best! Over the years, I've celebrated many of my birthdays (even entire birthday weeks) at "The Most Magical Place on Earth." As an end-of-February birthday boy myself, I think it's a fun time of the year to visit.

It's easy to use the online vacation package planning tools to get some pricing estimates and ideas for your Walt Disney World Resort trip budget. Simply start by providing a few quick pieces of information on your travel dates and your travel party size. You'll be able to search across the Disney Resorts Collection to find accommodations that match your travel dates and Resort preferences.

One of the first big questions you'll want to consider is what type of accommodations make the best fit for your group. Would you prefer to enjoy the at-home comforts of a spacious Deluxe Villa (or maybe multiple Deluxe Villas)? Or would you prefer to stay in separate Resort hotel rooms?

A stay in a Deluxe Villa offers the comfort and convenience of separate bedrooms, living room, dining room, a washer and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. Some, like a 3 Bedroom Grand Villa, can sleep up to 12, so they could accommodate your whole group.

You could also consider Disney Story Rooms, Family Suites, and Resort hotel rooms -- all featuring that distinctive Disney touch.

It's helpful to know that you would need to book multiple Resort hotel rooms and Deluxe Villas as separate reservations, and so you would want to price out your packages based on how you're coordinating the sleeping arrangements for the group.

I think you'll find that there are Resort accommodations to fit just about every vacation budget in the Disney Resorts Collection.

Once you've selected your Resort hotel accommodations, you'll see pricing for your selection. You can then add theme park tickets to your package, as well as options for those tickets such as the Park Hopper Option that lets you visit more than one theme park in the same day. Theme park ticket pricing is date-based, and you'll notice that the prices will vary depending on the dates you select to start your stay.

One great feature with theme park tickets is their flexible use. For example, if you purchase a 5-day ticket, that ticket is valid for 8 days from the day you first use it. This gives you lots of flexibility to mix in relaxing Resort days between your theme park days.

The vacation planning tools let you save a package so that you can compare different packages. If you ever have questions about the package you're putting together, you can always reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 939-7702 and a Cast Member can assist you with your booking.

Michael, I hope these ideas are helpful to get you started in planning your Walt Disney World Resort stay. If you have questions as you go, please come back and ask us here at planDisney. The planDisney panelists are happy to help share suggestions with you.

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
