Hello! I am planning to take my son to Disneyland for a surprise for his 5th birthday. He has a dairy allergy and I have a gluten allergy but I was curious if I could order a cake through Disney for his birthday? Thank you so much for your help.

    Hello, Anne,

What a special surprise that will be for your little Mouseketeer. My family loves celebrating birthdays at the Disneyland Resort. I’m sure it will be an adventure to remember.

As you may be aware, the standard celebration cakes that are available to pre-order at select Disneyland Resort dining locations contain gluten and milk. To accommodate special dietary needs, you will want to speak with a Cast Member as soon as you arrive to inform them of your allergy needs. If you would like to make special arrangements for various dining reservations, you will want to reach out to the Disneyland Resort Special Diets Team about 14 days before your arrival. Note that you are also permitted to bring outside food with you into the theme parks if desired.

Tony’s Tip: If you are staying in one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, you might be interested in ordering an in-room celebration package for the birthday boy. It’s an exciting way to bring a marvelous measure of magic to your celebration at the Disneyland Resort.

I hope your son has a happy birthday. And I wish a very merry unbirthday to you too, Anne!
