We are planning to take our son to Disney for his 7th birthday. The Magic Kingdom seems like our best value, but he is crazy about Star Wars. Has anyone experienced the Star Wars-themed attractions/events? Would a 1 day park-hopper be worth the extra $150?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca!

Wow! Celebrating a 7th birthday with a trip to Walt Disney World is sure to be your son's favorite!

There is so much to see and do at Magic Kingdom, but if your son is as Star Wars-crazed as you say, do not miss a visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

There, your Padawan will be able to meet Kylo Ren and Chewbacca at Star Wars Launch Bay, experience the super-impressive March of the First Order,  watch--or maybe even participate in--Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, enjoy the live show Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, fan-favorite Star Tours-The Adventures Continue and end the evening with a viewing of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

When finalizing plans, check park hours/schedules by clicking on "More Hours" under the Parks & Tickets tab on WDW's main page. There, you'll see today's calendar, which can be advanced to the date you'll be touring. Click on Disney's Hollywood Studios next, and scroll down the day's schedule. This will ensure that the events you may be hoping to see are, in fact, scheduled that day.

Happy birthday to your Padawan! Send more questions as you plan; we love to help!
