My 3 yo and me only, planning to come in 2014 sometime. Better to stay at value resort for more days, or contemporary resort for about half the days? I've stayed at value before, w/o toddler, and didn't mind transportation.

    Hi Denise,

It sounds like you have a magical vacation planned for you an your little one. Traveling alone with a toddler, I recommend the Contemporary if you can swing it. I know Disney transportation is great. They do an excellent job of shuttling a large amount of guests. However, I once stayed at Pop Century with just my three year old, and it was a little frustrating. Even at slow times of the year, value resorts are popular with sports teams, families, and other large groups, so they are often quite busy.

When the buses are standing room only, it can be difficult to hold onto a stroller, a toddler and keep yourself steady on the bus at the same time. Being able to walk from Magic Kingdom right to your resort makes nap time so much easier.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
