Ahoy there, Roderick!
So happy to have you back onboard! Let’s get right down to business because you have not just one but TWO cruises to plan for!
The following information applies to the shorter back-to-back cruises (3-night and 4-night) since those are the only ones sailing right now. However, combining longer sailings may have different rules that apply. I will also add the caveat that this is all subject to change, so I recommend staying on top of the most recent rules listed on the
Know Before You Go page.
You are correct that you will not have to take the two required COVID-19 tests before boarding for the first of your two back-to-back cruises if you are fully vaccinated and have submitted evidence of that to Disney Cruise Line. However, all Guests on
back-to-back, consecutive sailings will be required to undergo a rapid PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal after debarking the ship following their first cruise before reboarding the ship for their second cruise.
Upon getting a negative COVID test result, you will be able to reboard the ship. You’ll then be some of the first Guests to get back on the ship once it is cleared for your second itinerary! I suggest bringing a carry-on bag filled with activities and snacks to tide you over in the cruise terminal before Captain Mickey makes the “All Aboard” call.
Again, all this is subject to change, so what is being done today may not be the procedure when you sail in December. At least this might give you an idea of what to expect when it comes time for you to pack your bags and set sail with Captain Mickey. And hey, it means we will likely get to talk again before your voyage!
Roderick, thanks for always sending us such great questions! It’s always nice to have Guests like you who are curious about Disney cruising and willing to chat about cruising with us. You are always welcome anytime!
Happy Sailings!
Sherry
