Welcome aboard, Joyce! Thanks for sailing over to planDisney with another great question!
My family is passionate about their popcorn and Disney popcorn buckets so I had to pop over and answer your question! While popcorn buckets purchased inside the
Walt Disney World theme parks and on previous
Disney Cruises may be brought onboard your cruise, they may not be refilled. While it may not be universally enforced, you may find that a Crew Member may ask for your receipt or proof that the bucket you're trying to refill was purchased while on board. My pal
Prince did extensive research on this matter for a
previous question - it's worth a read!
Joyce, I found that it was often the same popcorn seller throughout the cruise, and he always remembered me and my kids. If you show up with a popcorn bucket from the parks, they will likely know it was one brought with you. While your mileage may vary, it is safer to assume you'll need to purchase an additional popcorn bucket to enjoy discounted refills once onboard. My family loves to collect Disney popcorn buckets and use them at home for snacks and movie nights.
Also, I would be remiss if I failed to mention that if you grab a souvenir popcorn bucket at Walt Disney World, be sure to grab a popcorn refill at my
favorite popcorn cart at the resort in the Canada Pavilion. They have the best
Maple Popcorn and you can get it at a discounted refill price!
Joyce, I hope this information helps. Please sail back by if you have any more questions. The planDisney crew is happy to help!
