    We are planning on going to several Character Breakfasts-Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, etc.-what resort do you recommend we stay at so we are fairly close to these meals?

    Hi Carol!

    You have chosen some of my favorite Character Dining experiences!   It's great to know that you are never far from any of these special locations when you stay at a Disney Resort, because you will have complimentary transportation.

    If you are looking for the absolute closest, though, I will recommend Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is located right next to the Magic Kingdom, and is just a short monorail ride away!  Also located on the same monorail line is Disney' Polynesian Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.

    Chef Mickey's is actually located right inside Disney's Contemporary Resort, so you can't get any closer than that!  And, the Crystal Palace is located within the Magic Kingdom, so you'll just hop on the monorail to get there for that one.

    Tusker House, however, is located within Disney's Animal Kingdom.  The Animal Kingdom Resort is the closest resort to this Character Dining experience, however, it is probably the furthest distance from all other Disney Parks and attractions.  In order to reach Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom from the Contemporary Resort, you would simply catch the bus from your resort to the Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  It does require Park admission in order to get into the Park for this experience, as is does for the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, as well.
