Hello! We are planning our second trip to WDW. This time we will stay on grounds. We are debating between Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge Resort? Any suggestions? (It's just me, husband, and 9yr old son)

Oh really tough choice between those two wonderful resorts.  If your son is an animal lover of any kind he will find being able to sit and watch the animals on the savannahs for hours on end to be a real treat.  But the one big advantage that the Wilderness Lodge has over the Animal Kingdom Lodge is that it is situated on Bay Lake which means you will have many boating recreational opportunities right at your resort.

Every night you can have the opportunity to watch the electric water parade float by and of course don't forget that "Old Faithful" erupts out back by the waters edge.  If you are feeling energetic you can take the hike along the water to Fort Wilderness and enjoy the amenities there such as the petting farm, pony rides, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, and Hoop De Doo revue dinner show.

Getting to the Magic Kingdom is a simple boat ride away that takes about 15 minutes making that park as easy as possible.  All other theme parks can be reached by busses at the bus stop outside the main entrance.  Either resort will offer wonderful opportunities unique to that place which will result in a fabulous vacation for your family!
