Planning second trip to WDW. Last time we stayed at POR and loved it but trying to save money on this trip. Are there any disadvantages to staying in a Value Resort (fewer shuttles, etc). Which is your favorite among the three?

    Hi Tricia!

To be perfectly honest, Pop Century is one of our FAVORITE resorts!  As a value resort, is is considerably less expensive than the moderates and it actually has a huge advantage!  While Port Orleans has several separate bus stops, Pop Century has one centrally located stop and a dedicated bus system.  This means that you never have to share a bus with another resort, unlike Port Orleans.  If you recall, Port Orleans had multiple stops at both the French Quarter and Riverside sections.  This often added a significant amount of travel time to your bus ride - no fun!

On the other hand, Pop Century has just the one stop and then you drive directly to your destination.  Also, because it is the newest and largest of the Value resorts, the bus system is among the best on property - including those found at Deluxe resorts.  The food court is enormous, the pools are fabulous and you just can't beat the price.  Although it doesn't have a sit down restaurant on site, I have never wanted for any food options.  Needless to say, I feel very confident recommending Pop Century and I hope that you have a wonderful vacation!
