Hi Gemma,
Congratulations on celebrating your honeymoon in Walt Disney World! How wonderful! Your initial week in the earlier part of December should be the days you tackle the most popular attractions, as the two days around Christmas will be drastically more crowded than the week of the 5th. Take advantage of Extra Magic Hours on your first week and also keep a look out for tickets to go on sale for the popular
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Having already experienced the most sought after attractions earlier in the month, you'll be able to sit back and enjoy the holiday spirit and many beautiful decorations adorning the Parks when you return on the 24th.
In terms of weather, I've experienced a multitude of temperatures during the month of December, but on average you'll find highs in the low 70's (F) to be the norm. I'd definitely pack light jackets and a couple of sweaters or sweatshirts in addition to t-shirts and shorts for midday. You just never know what December weather will bring, so also be sure to check the forecast 10 days prior to your visit. Doing so will give you the best indication of what to expect and how to pack. Having traveled to Walt Disney World just this past December, we wore sundresses and shorts every day, enjoying beautiful weather!
With faith, trust, and pixie dust, I hope you'll experience the same gorgeous sunshine and a wonderfully romantic honeymoon at the most Magical Place on Earth. For any additional tips as you plan, please do visit us again with your questions!
