I am planning my second trip to DW, I have B/G 5 year old twins, DH and DS already did The Pirates League while my DD and I did BBB/Garden Tea Room. There is a lot to do with my DD but not much for father/son events, anymore suggestions?

I'm the mother of a nearly 11 year old boy and he's been visiting WDW since the age of 2. I agree that it's more difficult to plan activities geared for boys at the Happiest Place on Earth where a lot of the emphasis is on princess gatherings.

Here's some suggestions for your 5 year old son and husband:

-At Ft. Wilderness, the young cowboy can take a pony ride, followed by a hearty dinner at Trail's End. After, the boys can bond at the petting zoo and Chip 'n Dale Campfire.
-Head to Port Orleans Riverside's Ol' Man Island to fish with cane poles. Then boat to Downtown Disney where they can splurge on a Sparkling Volcano dessert at the Rainforest Cafe.
-Go arcade hopping. After, move their game to the ESPN Club.
    -DisneyQuest
-Visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge to view animals, enjoy a campfire and explore the playground.
-Check the resort guides to see which hotel is having a movie under the stars.
    -Miniature golf
-Pirates and Pals Fireworks voyage, if available during your stay
    -Rent bikes
-Haircuts at the Harmony Barbershop in the Magic Kingdom
    -Lego Imagination Center
-Build your own radio controlled car at Ridemakerz, Downtown Disney West Side
-Build your own lightsabers at Once Upon a Toy
    -Create shirts at Disney's Design-A-Tee

With a little imagination, designing your own event can be a lot of fun!
