I am planning our second trip to Disney. We want to see Epcot and Animal Kingdom. We are hoping to get a cabin at Fort Wilderness. Do the cabins have 1 or 2 bathrooms? Do they have transportation to the parks from Fort Wilderness and how long is the ri

Hi Carol! The Fort Wilderness cabins have become a very popular choice with Disney guests. To wake up in the morning and look out your window to spot some of the resident deer eating in the grass is amazing. And they are real...not audio-animatronic!

The cabins have been under going a major refurbishment in the past few months. They have one bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds and one bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a pull out queen size sofa bed in the living area and you will also have a dining table. The cabins can sleep six but it is a bit tight for that many. With only one bathroom you have to have a schedule for sure. But beyond that the cabins offer such a peace as there is no one attached to your cabin. You can enjoy a quiet evening out on your deck or snuggle up inside, pop some popcorn and watch a Disney movie on TV.

This resort offers bus transportation to the water parks, Disney Springs, Animal Kingdom park, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. To reach the Magic Kingdom you will take a boat that drops you off directly in front of the entrance. The bus trip to Epcot is about 12-15 minutes and to Animal Kingdom it is about 20-25 minutes as this park is set off from the rest. Buses run every 15-20 minutes and we use the bus transportation and find it very reliable. You can either walk to the front of the resort using the sidewalks from the cabin loops, use a golf cart that is available to reserve and rent, or take the internal bus.

I hope you enjoy Fort Wilderness as much as my family does.
