We are planning our second family vacation to Disney World in October of this year. We would like to know a good spot for viewing the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom, one that won't be so crowded.

    Hi Susan,

One of my very best Disney memories involves an evening in the Magic Kingdom during which I watched Wishes above Cinderella Castle with my then six-year-old son.  We were standing on the bridge right in front of Splash Mountain.  The area wasn't crowded and it felt like the fireworks were exploding right over our heads.  I would go back there in a heartbeat to watch the fireworks any time.

Another great place from which to view the fireworks is from the platform right in front of the train station at the end of Main Street U.S.A.  You need to arrive early to secure a place here but it provides magical views of the castle during the fireworks.

If you're willing to go outside the park for the fireworks, my very favorite place to view Wishes is from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  You can reach this resort from the Magic Kingdom by monorail.  This area is never crowded and it is an enchanting place to view both the fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant.

Wishing you a magical vacation in October!
