Hello Moms.  We are planning our second cruise on the Dream.  What deck do you think is the best one away from the noise.  We're sailing May 11 2015.  Thank you so much.

    Ahoy, Deborah!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!

Once you've chosen the type of cabin you want, choosing the location is equally important. Do you want to be near the pools? Do you want the shortest walk to the Walt Disney Theatre? Do you want to be on the same end of the ship as It's a Small World Nursery or the Oceaneer Club? We tend to choose midship cabins, so we're centrally located and can easily access all the areas of the ship.

For the quietest staterooms, I suggest one of the decks that has cabin decks above and below. Decks 6, 7, and 8 will probably be the best choices if you want to be away from the noise. The cabins on the floor above and the floor below will act as a buffer from public areas of the ship. On our last cruise, we were on Deck 8, fairly close to the Midship elevators. I was concerned that we might encounter noise from the busy elevators, but we really never had an issue! (We usually tend to stay so busy on a Disney Cruise, when our heads finally hit the pillows we don't hear another sound!)

I hope this information is helpful! Planning a magical Disney Cruise Line vacation is so much fun, and we're glad to answer any questions you think of. I wish I could sprinkle some pixie dust and make the days go by faster until you sail away with Captain Mickey on the gorgeous Disney Dream!

    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
