We are planning to sail next summer. My husband and I would like to plan a romantic evening together during our sailing. What unique plans for a romantic evening onboard do you have?

    Bonjour Angela!

It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you back to planDisney! So wonderful to have you onboard as we proudly present...your answer.

Here’s a way to start the evening off with a romantic surprise: order a Luxury at Sea for Two package from Onboard Gifts and have it delivered to your stateroom on your date night. With a red rose, a bottle of celebratory bubbly (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), a box of chocolates, and matching Disney Cruise Line robes, it is sure to put “L’amour” in the air.

The centerpiece of your romantic evening should be dinner at either Palo (located on all 4 ships) or Remy (Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy). These two exceptional restaurants offer top-notch service and exquisite food (specializing in Northern Italian and French, respectively). While both have a per person dining charge, I find they are worth every penny because of the overall dining experience. While there is no grey stuff served, Lumiere would say, "Try the chocolate soufflé, it's delicious, don't believe me, ask the dishes!" (You may secure these reservations as soon as you have paid your cruise in full and your Advance Booking Window opens.)

After eating such a filling meal, we like to walk the decks and enjoy the fresh air and ocean breezes. Nothing like a starry night stroll to soak in the ambiance as your ship sails to its next destination! Then cap the romantic night off with a nightcap at one of the many lounges and nightclubs onboard. My favorites include Meridian and Skyline on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, and Cadillac Lounge (Disney Wonder) and Keys (Disney Magic) for the live piano music. They even take requests, so we always ask to hear our song, "What a Wonderful World."

Since there are so many adult-exclusive areas onboard, that's where I would end the evening, laughing the night away in a nightclub featuring comedy acts, magic, and activities led by our Cruise Entertainment Director. Nothing puts the perfect exclamation point on the evening quite like entertainment into the wee hours without a wee one in sight. Who says that Disney cruises are just for kids? Not me!

Angela, “be our guest” and stop back by planDisney if you’d like to chat all things Disney Cruise Line...it’s our favorite topic! As Belle would say, I'm wishing you “adventure in the great wide somewhere” during your upcoming voyage.
