Ahoy, Choe! Welcome to planDisney, where we aim to answer all of your questions about sailing with Disney Cruise Line. As you know, the Disney Adventure just set sail from
Singapore for the very first time in March and offers a number of brand-new experiences onboard.
One of the highlights is the exclusive nighttime spectacular called
“The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky,” which can only be found aboard the
Disney Adventure. Disney Cruise Line was already known for being the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea, but this new show takes that expertise to a whole new level by combining stunning pyrotechnic displays with songs from the film’s iconic soundtrack to create a showcase befitting a king. Additionally, global star Shah Rukh Khan, who voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language versions of the live-action films, provides the narration for the unique experience.
Although you may technically be able to see the fireworks from certain staterooms, you would miss out on all of the other exciting elements that make “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky” a true celebration. It is also worth mentioning that Disney Cruise Line asks guests to avoid using their verandahs during fireworks at sea events for safety concerns and the possibility of debris. Impacted staterooms are typically provided with notifications prior to the start of the evening’s activities and encouraged to use the top decks instead.
In the original film, Mufasa told Simba to look at the stars because the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars and will always be there to guide you whenever you feel alone. To get the full experience of “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky,” I encourage you to go up on deck to look upward as those stars become part of the spectacular’s beauty.
If you have any other questions about your upcoming voyage on the Disney Adventure, then you are always welcome at planDisney. Happy sailing!
