Planning on running a race this year. What are your suggestions for getting pictures with the characters as you run along the course? Is Photopass available or should I have a small camera with me? How does that impact your time ?

    Hi Robin!

Yay for you!  RunDisney races are the best, and I know you will have a great time!

There are race photographers along the course, but not at the character stops.  The race photographers are a separate company, and not Disney Photopass.  You will be given a link to your photos after the race and you can purchase any that you like.

Whether or not to carry a camera and stop for photos is a personal thing.  I almost always do.  There is so much fun and excitement on the course that I just can't bare to pass up my favorite characters!  Sometimes I carry a small camera, but usually I just use my phone.  I have a big group of friends coming to run in the Princess Half with me, and I plan to carry a camera so we can get some really great, fun shots.

There will be lines at some characters, so it will affect your time.  You should probably just decide if you are trying to run it for a good running time, or just a really good time!!  If you want to be faster, then you can just take random photos of the fun Disney scenery (and there is plenty) without waiting in photo lines.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions!
