Planning on running Princess 1/2 in 2015. Beginner runner so training now. ? my daughter will turn 14 approx 2 weeks after the race. She would REALLY like to run/train w/me. Could she participate even though she would't quite be 14 yet? Thanks so much!

    Hi Angela!

You are smart to give yourself plenty of time to prepare and train for your first half.  It will be here before you know it and you will be a seasoned runner by then!

Unfortunately, the rules state that all participants must be 14 by race day to run in the half marathons.  13.1 miles is a really long way, and runner safety and health will always be a top priority for Disney.

If she is looking to run with you, you could always do the Family Fun 5K that weekend.  It will be a better distance for her, and a great way to kick off your Princess Half Marathon weekend.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Good luck with training!
