Planning on running my first November wine and dine 2018 5k. Want to make reservations at Beach Club Resort. Assuming 5k is in Epcot, can I walk to main Epcot entrance from resort via International gateway? Is that area open to walk through at 5:00AM?

    Hello Eileen!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney's Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend has always been a favorite of mine. I feel like it's a great kick-off to the holiday season and the weather is usually really nice in Orlando that time of year.

Traditionally, the 5K race during Wine and Dine Half weekend takes place in and around Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. They haven't released course information for the 2018 Fall Feast 5K just yet.  However, if they do happen to move the race to Epcot, you would need to take a runDisney bus from Disney's Beach Club Resort to the start area. Epcot won't be open that early in the morning, so the International Gateway entrance won't be available.

The buses are very convenient and are a huge benefit to staying at one of the Walt Disney World host resorts. Registration for Wine and Dine Half weekend is scheduled to open on March 13. You can also sign up for email reminders on the runDisney website for alerts and event information.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
