    We're planning to run wdw marathon for 3rd yr. Normally we stay at AS music, but thinking of spluging for Contemporary or Polynesian for monorail day of race. Does the monorail run for those super early starts or would we still have to use the bus? Thx!

    How awesome you will be participating in the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna® for your third time! I love to hear from runDisney repeat runners.

    For those staying at a Magic Kingdom Area Resort located on the Monorail, it will be running for the race. If you chose to stay at the Polynesian, you're just a quick walk over to the Transportation & Ticket Center where you can access the Monorail to Epcot®. Form the Contemporary, you'll board the Monorail located on the Grand Canyon Concourse of the main tower--your next stop will then be the Transportation & Ticket Center where you can transfer to the Epcot® Monorail.

    I say the splurge is worth it! And in my opinion, if you don't mind the construction that may be ongoing at Disney's Polynesian Resort, it is your best bet with regard to convenience and location.

    Also, don't forget registration opens on Tuesday, April 22nd at Noon EST-- races are selling out at a record pace and I wouldn't want you to miss out on your opportunity to register. And don't forget to check out the Travel Tab on the runDisney website, this is where any discounted travel packages available for this event will be released.
