Hakuna Matata Laura,
May I begin by wishing you a very warm welcome to planDisney! It's always nice for me as the current
British Mum here at planDisney, to be able to welcome a fellow Guest who also visits the most magical place on earth from across the other side of the pond.
Oh my goodness, 3 years
is an awfully long time to have spent away from the enchantment of Walt Disney World Resort! Thankfully, now the
World seems to be finally returning to its magical self after the effects of the global pandemic, we can all make our plans to walk right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A once again.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a favourite destination for my family too! We've spent some
wild holidays in this gloriously beautiful, and amazingly themed Disney Resorts Collection hotel. There really is nothing better than waking up to animals grazing out on the savanna - right outside your Resort room window!
It sure is a super smart idea to place a room request ahead of your arrival at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. During the
online Direct-to-Room Check-in process via My Disney Experience, you should be able to make some simple room requests, for instance, near the lifts (elevator) or on the ground floor.
However, for more specific room requests such as for a particular room number, I would recommend calling Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge a few days prior to your scheduled check-in date where you can place your request with a Cast Member in person.
To connect with a Cast Member and place your room number request at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, please go ahead and dial the telephone number found within this link. Or, it's possible to dial the UK freephone number contained within this
Walt Disney World Resort - Contact Us webpage, and then ask to be connected to a Cast Member who can further assist with your particular request.
Laura, it's always worth bearing in mind that Cast Members will always do their very best to try and accommodate any requests made by Guests. Of course, you will no doubt understand that these types of decisions are generally based on current availability and operational needs.
I hope that I've been able to provide a little pixie-dusted insight for you today Laura. Please don't hesitate to pop back to me here at planDisney if you should have any further questions. I'm always happy to help wherever it's possible!
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
