Hi there, we're planning a return trip in August 2027, we're just waiting for the dining plans to drop around March April time before booking. Do we know which attractions are planned to be closed at that time or is it too soon.many thanks

Hello Nigel! I am so glad you’re planning a visit in 2027! That is going to be an exciting year at Disney World! But, before I share the adventurous news about 2027, let’s get an answer to your question.

It is too early to know which attractions will be closed for refurbishment or “reimagining” in 2027; however, when time gets closer to your visit, you should head to the Walt Disney World Resort website. Here you will find a helpful planning tool. When you arrive at the website, enter “day calendar” in the search box. When the day calendar opens, scroll down to see an individual section for each theme park. At the bottom of the section for each theme park, you will see a heading titled “Closed for Refurbishment.” Click on that heading to reveal the planned refurbishments.

Now, grab your fedora and bullwhip, because it’s time to talk 2027! A new Indiana Jones attraction will be opening that year at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! I can’t wait to be a part of this adventure with Dr. Jones! Also, it’s OK for us to talk about the brand new Encanto attraction that will be opening in the same park! Both attractions will be part of the new Tropical Americas section of Animal Kingdom!

Nigel, I’ll definitely be visiting in 2027! And, if we happen to be there at the same time, I’ll be the guy wearing the fedora helping Indiana Jones on his quest for ancient relics (and avoiding snakes)!

    Dreams do come true!
