I am planning a retirment party for my husband and party of 12 in Dec 2014, I want to do exciting dinner for him what and where do you suggest? I also am a DVC member is there anything special they will do for me?

Howdy Jane!  Congratulations to your husband!  I can't think of a better way to celebrate than by spending time at Walt Disney World with a party of 12!!  MAGICAL!

    Below are a few suggestions:

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is a sophisticated yet family-friendly restaurant which offers savory steaks and fresh seafood.  The food is delicious and the service is exceptional.

Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show was recommended by a Cast Member due to your party size.  You will enjoy hula dancing, fire dancing and a tropical feast!

If you are looking for a fun event, several Cast Members and Moms Panelists agree that the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a perfect choice!!!  Beth C. said she would love to have her retirement party at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!  She added that it is a fun place and if you are into fun, it would be the perfect choice!!  Jacqui C. agrees and added that she would encourage you to splurge and select Category 1 seating.  It's the closest to the stage and will give you a very interactive experience.  Allison V., Chris G. and Doug I. all weighed in as well.  With these amazing Moms Panelists making the suggestion, I think it is an experience you will enjoy to the fullest!

Regardless of which restaurant you select, be sure to make note of the celebration when you make your reservation and ensure the celebration is listed when you check-in at the podium.

Regarding Disney Vacation Club:  as we get closer to 2014, be sure to look for 2014 DVC perks and discounts.  You will find information on the DVC Member website under Member Extras.  You might consider Tables in Wonderland as a potential option for discounts.  You can find more information at tablesinwonderland.com.

Thanks so much for you question.  Enjoy every magical moment of your celebratory vacation and let me know if you need further information!
