Hi there, Maria! Welcome to planDisney. I was so excited to read your question, as my family and I just returned from a magical vacation at Disneyland Resort, and we did the same
Fantasmic! On-the-Go Package at Hungry Bear Restaurant just three nights ago!
I am vegetarian, and my daughter has a tree nut allergy, so I asked to speak to a
Special Diets Cast Member when I checked in for our reservation. (This is available at most restaurants – I love that Disney Parks are so committed to accommodating dietary requests and allergies.) For my daughter, the allergy menu had a cheeseburger option, so she was able to order that. For me, while they had an Impossible plant-based option, because I am not fond of the taste of meat, they were able to make an exception and give me a regular menu item as my entrée, while still paying the dining package price. If you explain your situation, they will do the best they can to accommodate your dietary preferences. My suggestion is, if the regular dining package menu doesn't present any suitable options, start with asking for the allergy menu. If nothing there seems suitable either, you could ask to speak to the Special Diets team.
Reservations made for 3:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. will include a voucher for entry into the reserved viewing area for the first performance of Fantasmic! that night, while reservations from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will include a voucher for the second show that night. The voucher will note to arrive 30 minutes prior, but Guests were lining up around 60 minutes prior. There was plenty of space in the reserved viewing area, but if you’re particular about a “front row” spot in the ground seating area, I would plan to get in line around 60 minutes prior. There are several dining packages for
Fantasmic! hence several reserved viewing areas – I would recommend asking a Cast Member at Hungry Bear Restaurant exactly where your queue will be located that evening.
I would try your best to make your reservation exactly 60 days in advance. I made my reservation at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and was able to secure a reservation for four. If for some reason you can’t secure an advance reservation, check at Hungry Bear Restaurant the morning of to see if they had any cancellations.
In my opinion, this dining package was a fantastic value, as the food was incredible and the reserved viewing was well worth it. Guests were very respectful and remained seated on the ground, so you’ll have a great view from wherever you sit in the reserved area. You might want to bring a blanket or towel to sit on for a little extra cushioning. Get ready for a spectacular performance – we were mesmerized by Mickey’s magical dream!
May the magic be with you,
Kamini
