We are planning on renting wheelchairs at the parks (2/25/19) as my wife can walk, just not for long distances. Are there wheelchairs at All Star Music for us to use for walking around so we can visit our CM friends at Sports?

Hello there, Peter! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for sending us your vacation question!

I am very well acquainted with utilizing a wheelchair while visiting Walt Disney World Resort due to my own limited walking abilities. In my experience, Walt Disney World Resort does such a great job providing accommodations and helping all Guests have magical vacations! While Disney’s All Star Music Resort does not specifically provide wheelchair rentals, there are courtesy wheelchairs throughout Walt Disney World Resort for Guests to use for short distances. These courtesy wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, though, so they are never guaranteed. I would highly recommend calling Disney’s All Star Music Resort directly at (407) 939-6000 or Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 to see if you can request a courtesy wheelchair during your visit at Disney’s All Star Music Resort.

If your wife is going to need a wheelchair throughout your stay, another option I would highly recommend is renting one through a Disney Featured Provider. These Orlando-area companies allow you to pre-order mobility devices and keep them throughout the duration of your vacation. This would allow your wife to use a wheelchair both inside and outside of the theme parks. Personally, the journey back to whichever Disney Resort hotel I am staying at can be the most exhausting part of my day! Disney Featured Providers will even deliver mobility devices to any Disney Resort hotel.

Hopefully this information will help you during your upcoming visit!
