Hi, we are planning on renting the two seater boats during our vacation. Which resort do you think would be the best to rent the from? I understand if we rent them from the Boardwalk - our ride could be limited?? Any advice would be helpful.

    Kristin:

My husband and I had a recent debate over which marina we should rent a Disney sea-racer so we could enjoy the most terrain...We narrowed it down to two bodies of water which are serviced by several marinas: Seven Seas Lagoon/Bay Lake and Sassagoula River.

I like Sassagoula River because you can traverse the canal that runs from Port Orleans to Downtown Disney, and even get a view of the new Tree-top Villas at Saratoga Springs.  If the balloon rides are going at Downtown Disney, that's also a wonderful sight to see.  For this, you can rent a sea-racer at either Port Orleans: Riverside or Downtown Disney.

My husband prefers Bay Lake and its open expanse with views of the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Fort Wilderness, the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and much more.  Most of these resorts will have sea racer rentals at their piers.  But I strongly recommend calling ahead to reserve one: 407-939-7529.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
