Hiya Donna! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question!
Oh boy! Let the countdown begin! You are less than two weeks until you arrive for your Walt Disney World vacation! I'm sure your family cannot contain their excitement about your upcoming trip and dream about all the magical experiences that await! I'm happy that you are planning a water park visit during your stay! Being that you are escaping the chilly Northeast, some fun in the sun at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is a superb idea! This park is incredibly themed and great for Guests of all ages.
The
Polar Patios are perfect for families that want a centralized area to relax and meet up throughout the day. They provide a shaded deck where everyone can put their feet up, kick back, and enjoy the happenings at the park. While there is no guarantee that you will receive a specific Polar Patio upon booking, you can certainly make this request. If you book online, I suggest
calling the Walt Disney World Resort and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to note this request on your reservation. Also, when you arrive at the water park, stop by the Beach Haus located at the entrance of the park. When checking in for your booking, you can make your request known again to see if they can accommodate your preferred location.
I took a look at the Blizzard Beach map and the children's area, known as Tike's Peak, is located just to the right of the main entrance. If there is a Polar Patio located in this area, this will most likely be your best location. You'll be close to the amenities at the front of the park and near many of the attractions suitable for your six-year-old.
Donna, I hope this information helps you when planning your day!
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf is just outside of the entrance to Blizzard Beach and is the perfect activity to pair with a water park day! My daughters had a blast here on our last visit!
See ya real soon!
