Were planning on 12/25/14-1/1/15, but are reconsidering because of high crowds/cost. Friend is teacher so thinking about going during "Jersey Week". What can we expect during that first/second week of Nov? I.e. crowds, weather, dining promotions?

    Hi Amanda ~

I'm answering your question from the land of magic now. It is indeed one of the highest peak weeks of the year.  Are we still having fun? Yes. The parks are just beautiful this time of the year but you can certainly cover more ground other times of the year.

Crowd levels are higher during Jersey Week but nothing like the week between Christmas and New Year's.  If Jersey Week coincides with other events like Veterans Day, that may also affect crowds levels so you should expect higher wait times. Other events that impact crowd levels that time of year are the Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend scheduled for November 7 - 8, 2014.  The 2014 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival dates haven't been announced but crowd levels are usually only impacted during the weekends at Epcot. If you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel and purchase your tickets in advance, you can make FastPass+ selections which will reduce your wait times.

The weather in November is usually pretty pleasant.  The average temperatures are in the high 70s and lows in the mid-50s.  They usually get a little over 2 inches of rain in November.  I always recommend checking the forecast right before your trip just to make sure.

As of right now, no special offers have been announced for the fall.  Keep your eyes on the link for announcements.  Hopefully we'll see some information soon.

Please feel free to keep the questions coming.  Its our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
