Hi Sarah! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Even without a visit to the Magic Kingdom during this trip, I'm sure you and your family are going to have a magical time! Each of the four theme parks offers something a little different, which is what makes Walt Disney World as special as it is. Since you will be visiting EPCOT, I'm sure you have made plans to watch
Harmonious the evening you are there. I've been lucky enough to see it on a few occasions, and believe me, you do not want to miss it. Try to snag a spot back by the American Pavilion or in the area between Mexico and Canada where you first enter the World Showcase. You get a full-on view of the projections over World Showcase Lagoon!
One thing that I love about
Disney Enchantment is that the fireworks are absolutely magnificent, which makes viewing this show from a distance very enjoyable! One of my favorite viewing areas for Magic Kingdom fireworks is on the beachfront at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Just out back of the resort past the pool, you'll find a white sandy beach area that has a perfect view of the nighttime spectacular. The resort will even pipe in the music over the speakers to listen along while you are viewing. I highly recommend making an Advanced Dining Reservation for either
Kona Café or
'Ohana to enjoy a delicious meal before Disney Enchantment starts. To get here from Disney's Art of Animation Resort, take a bus to the Magic Kingdom, then hop on the resort monorail to the Polynesian Resort.
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of the most well-known places to view the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. This restaurant sits atop the resort and offers wonderful views of Cinderella Castle. There is even an outside viewing area that you can walk out to if you wanted to get the full effect of the show. California Grill will also pipe in the music when the show begins to get the full effect. Advanced Dining Reservations are required for this signature restaurant. To get here, follow the same directions mentioned above, except exit at the Contemporary Resort on the monorail.
Another fantastic viewing area is a bit more difficult to time correctly, but if it works out, it's one of the best places I have ever seen fireworks from. Take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and hop on any of the boats to the surrounding
Magic Kingdom Area Resorts. You'll get a great view of the show out on the water overlooking the front of the park. I really enjoyed the view coming back from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort as you come around the corner from the Contemporary Resort. It was truly magnificent!
Sarah, I hope you have a magical time during your upcoming visit!
