We are planning a quick trip next January to surprise my daughter at Christmas. Do you think it would be best to go Jan 3-7 (after the holiday rush) or Jan 16-20 (MLK weekend)? I am trying to decide which weekend would be the least crowded.

Hello, Dixie!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I do believe your daughter will soon be experiencing the most MAGICAL Christmas ever!  You will want to make sure to have those cameras rolling because there will be screams of joy.  Trust me, I am speaking from experience.  I am so excited for you!  Also, great job at starting the planning process early.

Historically, the lowest attendance numbers for Walt Disney World fall during the month of January beginning just after New Year's Day.  You are safe with the dates you are currently looking at.  I did notice a trend this year in that many school districts are continuing their winter break through the first week of January.  Of course, I am not an expert and cannot predict future attendance numbers, but it is something to think about.  Personally, I would choose January 16th - 20th.  Either way, I think you will be safe with the time of year you are traveling.

~Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON"!~
