Hi Jessica and welcome back to planDisney!
The holiday time is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World and I'm so excited to see all of the holiday happenings that will be coming this year that were recently announced, including the return of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! This special event party is my daughter's favorite because she loves seeing her favorite characters dressed in their holiday finest as well as munching on
delicious cookies and hot cocoa all night long.
Walt Disney World's ticket rule is that anyone under three years old does not need a theme park ticket and this also goes for any
special events that require a separate ticket, so your two year old grandson will not need an admission ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Woo hoo! I suggest purchasing your tickets as soon as possible because party dates do sell out quickly, especially those that are closest to Christmas which is when you'll be visiting.
Be sure to grab a spot early to watch
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. This is one of my favorite parades at Magic Kingdom Park and the kids love it because they get to see Santa at the end. The lights, colors and characters of this parade are sure to put anyone in the holiday spirit.
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is also not to be missed at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You will want to see it from anywhere along Main Street U.S.A. or in the castle hub area to see the castle projections. If you're looking for a quieter spot, head over to Fantasyland to watch it from there.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
