We are planning on purchasing tickets for Magic Kingdom in April. Are the tickets the same price at the gate vs getting them online?

Hi, Tonya! Thanks for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Yes, Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets are the same price whether you purchase them in advance or at the gate. However, there are some advantages to purchasing your tickets in advance of your trip.

When you purchase your theme park tickets in advance, you have the ability to make FastPass+ selections before you arrive. The complimentary FastPass+ system allows Guests to make advance reservations for select attractions, entertainment and more in the theme parks. Guests who are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance of their visit. Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make selections 60 days in advance of their visit. Another advantage to purchasing your theme park tickets in advance is that you can avoid waiting in line to purchase your tickets at the gate. You can purchase your theme park tickets in advance online or via the My Disney Experience app.

I hope this helps with your planning, Tonya. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Wishing you magical memories!
