Planning on purchasing passes for my husband and I before our son turns 3. what will happen once he turns 3 if we have already purchased passes for ourselves? Will he still be free until our passes are up for renewal?

    Hi, Daniel!

Purchasing Annual Passes is such a magical treat! Visits to the theme parks, complimentary standard parking, and all the wonderful discounts make these passes a great value for those who frequent Walt Disney World.

While your son is 2, he will not need a ticket to enter the parks. Once he turns 3, he will require theme park admission. You have a few options. You can purchase his Annual Pass when needed, knowing that his expiration date might be different from yours. You can also figure out how many visits you are planning, and see if purchasing tickets as you go might be cheaper, then buy his Annual Pass at your renewal time so you are all on the same schedule for renewing each year. You will have to do the math, and plan out your visits to see what will be the better option.

In the meantime, enjoy your little Mouseketeer while he is 2! He is one lucky guy getting to make all those fun visits to see Mickey Mouse and all the Disney Pals. Enjoy your visits and we will see you real soon.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
