Hi, we’re planning on purchasing Magic Key passes and using the monthly payment option but not activating the passes until later this year? How would the payments work? Do they start automatically or when we first use the passes? Thanks!

Hi Jonny! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

The payment plan option for Magic Key holders is such a great perk for eligible Guests, and they work on an easy automatic monthly system. The payments begin at the time of your original transaction. At the time of purchase, you'll make a down payment and pay the first month's payment. Going forward, on that date each month for 11 months, your original form of payment will be automatically charged. If you ever have any questions about your Magic Key, including payments, the helpful Cast Members at the dedicated Magic Key phone line can assist you.

I recently became a Magic Key holder myself, and it sounds like we're in the same boat, planning not to activate immediately. If that's the case, you would potentially have your Magic Keys paid off prior to the expiration of your passes. That feels extra magical!

A word to the wise: the Inspire Key is the only Magic Key currently for sale, which is subject to changing availability. If you join me in becoming a Magic Key holder, I hope you follow the official Disneyland Magic Key blog, which has all the information on Magic Key exclusives. I'm looking forward to starting my year of magic soon with discounts, perks, and more!

    Have a magical day.
