Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Iris!
I am so excited that you will be spending four fabulous days at the Disneyland Resort next month! When it comes to children turning 3 years old while at the parks, there is one important distinction about whether a theme park ticket will be required. If you are purchasing a
vacation package that includes accommodations at a Disneyland Resort Hotel or a Good Neighbor Hotel and theme park tickets, then your child is considered the age at check in for the duration of your trip - and a ticket wouldn't be needed if the child starts the visit as age 2. If you are buying only theme park tickets or simply booking all the elements of your vacation separately, then your child will require a ticket on the day he/she turns 3 years old and all subsequent days. The difference is because you provide the age of your child when you book a vacation package, but this information is not provided when buying tickets separately.
If you will be visiting at the end of the month, you will get to experience
Pixar Fest which starts on April 13, 2018. There will be a new fireworks show called Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular in Disneyland Park and the Pixar Play Parade will march down Main Street, U.S.A. during the day. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, the dazzling
Paint the Night Parade will debut in this park for the first time. Paint the Night is absolutely awe-inspiring, so I hope you can fit this parade into your schedule during your visit.
I hope this information was helpful. Happy planning!
