We are planning to purchase a 6-day package at a Disney hotel and have questions about the dining plan. We are Disney rewards card holders and I heard somewhere about a dining perk? Is this a complete dining plan and is it for every family member?

    Hi Teri from Terry!  :-)

Being a fellow Disney Visa card holder, at this writing, they are offering a free dining plan when you purchase a non-discounted 6-night/7-day Magic Your Way package for the following arrival dates:

    • September 30, 2012 – October 4, 2012
    • October 19, 2012 – November 1, 2012
    • November 9, 2012 – November 15, 2012
    • November 23, 2012 – November 29, 2012
    • December 10, 2012 – December 13, 2012

To answer your question, yes, it would be for every family member 3 years and older (less than 3 are free). The Dining Plan you get would be contingent, however, on the resort you stay. For example, select Value resorts would include the free Quick Service Dining Plan. This plan essentially entitles you to 2 quick service meals, 1 snack, and 1 refillable mug per each person 3 years and older per night.

Select moderate or deluxe resorts entitles you to the Basic Dining Plan. This includes 1 quick service meal, 1 table service meal, 1 snack, and 1 refillable mug per person 3 years and older each night of your stay.

Being able to go on a Disney trip and saving you and family a few hundred dollars sounds like a little magic huh? :-)

Hope you guys have an incredible time when you go!
