Planning on proposing on our trip in March! Just seeing are there any areas that can be recommended to pop the question, and bookings I can look into to make the trip more special :)

Bonjour Aaron and a very warm welcome to planDisney!

This month we're actually celebrating a 6-year anniversary looking back to when I was right in your shoes, looking to pop the question at Disneyland Paris! Since that fateful day, we've ended up having a Disney Wedding of our own and have even begun planning ahead for a vow renewal at Disneyland Paris - so I'm especially excited to be able to help you with your proposal plans:

    • At the present time, when you first reach out to Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings team at Disneyland Paris, you'll be directed to fill out a form that asks about the kind of event and budget you have in mind for it (which may require more wiggle room with your budget if you're really looking to splash out with something special).  Based on our experiences communicating with our own Personal Experience Designer, I was very much impressed with just how much you can tailor to fit your vision!
    • I was then sent a brochure with options and suggestions for our engagement, which included dinners at Auberge de Cendrillon or Walt’s – an American restaurant and the possibility of including a photographer to capture the moment. There were even special options at the time that included being escorted by a VIP guide to a spot in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle before Disney Illuminations begins, and I was informed that only one lucky couple would be able to book this moment each night. It's a good idea to reach out and find what options and offerings will be available to you in March so you can see what kinds of magic they can make for you!

You can also use these ideas as inspiration to book meals or experiences on your own if you want a more casual approach - I remember considering a number of different ideas including popping the question during an attraction that he particularly liked. From the Cast Members I spoke with, it seems like they frequently see couples finding a spot in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle - but it's always important to ask them to make sure you're in a location that's both safe for the two of you and fellow guests around you (and not let's say, on an elevated platform with pyrotechnics located behind a gate for Cast Member access only).

For some great proposal moments I also recommend looking into magical extras like booking access to Reserved Viewing Areas, Character Dining experiences or even floating high above on a PanoraMagique ride; I've also observed that couples have had Lake Disney be their tranquil backdrop for a beautiful sunset engagement. You're always welcome to come back again to us here at planDisney for more tips or advice, and be sure to ask my Disneyland Paris expert pal Danielle about her Disneyland Paris engagement of her very own!

Wishing you all the best on your quest to pop the question!
