Welcome to planDisney, Scott!
I am SO excited for you! I hope you’re excited to start your “Happily Ever After” in the place where dreams come true! How romantic?!
There is always a little extra pixie dust to be had at Walt Disney World Resort for newly engaged individuals! I’d first highly recommend getting the complimentary “Happily Ever After” buttons from any gift shop or Guest Relations locations at any of the 4 theme parks after you propose! They’ll customize your button to say that you’re just engaged! Wear these buttons everywhere and you never know what extra magic will follow you! (This is a great way for Cast Members to know that you’re celebrating an engagement!)
I’d also recommend letting your server know that you’re JUST engaged at every table service restaurant that you visit! Servers always like to know if you’re celebrating something special! You’ll also want to let your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel know what you’re celebrating upon check-in!
I’d also recommend using Disney PhotoPass Photographers as much as you can while you’re on your vacation! Utilizing
Memory Maker may be a great idea too!
So, I am actually a professional jewelry designer by day, Scott, and I’ve helped many folks sneak engagement rings past the attention of their significant others! I’m excited to help you out! I’d highly recommend getting a “discreet ring box” as this will hide the ring in your pocket effortlessly… BUT if you’re planning on riding any rides before your proposal PLEASE do not put the ring in your pocket (unless it has a zipper). The
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train does NOT actually need a genuine diamond in the mine. Instead, start sporting a fashionable
fanny pack, or bring a small backpack just to be safe.
If you have additional questions, Scott, we always love hearing from you! And from all of us here at planDisney- Congratulations! May your future be bright and magical!
