We're planning to take our 2 princess-fanatic DDs, ages 2 and 4 to WDW. We're planning on getting the dining plan, but I know that the 2yo has to share. How does this work with the character dining? Is she entitled to the same perks as the older child?

Hi Molly - yes, your 2 year old eats free at buffets and from your plate.  At most character meals, which are typically all you care to eat buffets or family style, you can just make a plate for your 2 year old from the available food.  My son was 2 years old on our last trip to Walt Disney World, and we had no problem filing him up!

At table service meals where you order from the menu, you can pay out of pocket for your 2 year old to eat, or have her share.  I typically had my 2 and 4 year old share one children's meal, and it was more than enough food for them.

Two year olds are still entitled to character greetings and everything else associated with the character meals.

    Have a great vacation!
