Arielle from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Planning on Plaza Inn res for breakfast buffet time at 10am but bfast says it ends at 11am. How many times we can go back up to get more food; do we get kicked out at 11am or can we finish food past that? When do they usually take the buffet trays? Thanks!

Greetings, Arielle, and welcome to planDisney! I love Character Dining, and Plaza Inn is the only location that offers this experience inside Disneyland. You'll enjoy delicious food while being visited by Disney friends. And once you are done, you're already in the park, ready to continue your day. Let's chat more about what you can expect.

In the mornings, Plaza Inn offers Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park. Typically, you'll have a chance to have your photo taken with Minnie Mouse in her chef's apron. And once you're shown to your table, you can start filling your plate. This is an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast, so you can go back and forth from your table to the buffet multiple times. There will be omelets, waffles, potatoes, pastries, and much more waiting for you. Breakfast hours currently end at 11 a.m., and at that time, new offerings are not typically brought out. However, you'll still be able to choose from what's available, meet Characters, and continue eating. I'd guess that things generally wrap up around 11:30 or 11:45 a.m., since Plaza Inn switches to more of a quick service option at noon, serving a lunch and dinner menu, with no Characters. That said, you should have plenty of time to enjoy the full experience with a 10 a.m. reservation.

If you're hoping to do a late-morning Character Dining experience, you can also consider Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Californian Hotel. You don't need to be a hotel Guest to make a reservation, and it is easy to get to from Disneyland. This location currently hosts brunch from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Plus, during the holiday season, Storytellers Cafe will offer Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party during breakfast and brunch hours. I'm really excited about Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast, which will take place during dinner hours.

I've had many memorable meals with my kids at various Character Dining locations. You can't go wrong with any of them. There are food options for everyone (including those with dietary requests), and kids love the novelty of going back to refill plates with new choices. Disney Characters visit the table throughout the meal, so there are plenty of opportunities to take photos and fill autograph books.

Arielle, I hope your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort is filled with magical moments, fun, and delicious food. If you think of any other questions, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
