Hiya, Brigham! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us.
It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is quickly approaching. Woo hoo! I’m sure you’re getting excited for all the rides, character experiences, dining, and shows, and you’ll be happy to know that there is plenty of extra time for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests to enjoy the magic.
You can find park hours and the schedule of special events on the Hours & Events calendar. You can find it
here if you’re using a web browser, and you can find it on the My Disney Experience mobile app as well. Just tap the menu icon (the three lines) in the bottom right corner of the screen and scroll down to the “Plan My Next Visit” section. You’ll see “Park Hours & Info” just below that.
Early entry is available to guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and it allows them to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before official opening. You’ll see from browsing the park hours calendar that it’s available most days (schedule and availability are subject to change). There are also Extended Evening Hours, where registered Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels can play in the parks after official hours. This doesn’t happen as frequently as Early Entry, and is usually at one park on a given night. You can find a full list of participating hotels
here.
If you aren’t staying at an eligible resort or your trip dates don’t align with the Extended Evening Hours schedule, you may want to check out
Disney After Hours. This is a special ticketed event that allows you to enjoy select attractions at the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios for 3 hours after official park closing. Tickets are subject to availability, so you’ll want to act quickly if you’re interested in this event.
I hope this info helps with your trip planning, Brigham. Pop back if you have any more questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
