We're planning our!1st vac. in 6 or 7 '09 with my husband /b 7/ g 5. and I'm trying to decide which hotel is better. What is the difference between the DYC and the DBC hotel? Kids love to swim but don't want huge crowds since kids are still young. Tx!

I would definitely recommend Disney's Beach Club.  The resorts are connected, however the drink refill station is only located in the Market at the Beach Club resort.  You could fill up at Hurricane Hanna's or the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop but those are located in the Beach Club Resort Area.  The Children activity center is also located at the Beach Club Resort.  I have lots and lots of kids, and we all agree the Beach Club was the number one pick between both resorts.  Storm a long Bay is huge and the entrance points are monitored by cast members.  It's not really noticeably crowded even in peak times.  The hardest part for me to monitor was the slide at the Pirate Ship.  They had to go out around Hurricane Hanna's and then they land a good distance away from launch.  I have one stationed at the base of slide steps and another at the whirlpool portion of the pool.  This allows me to see where the kids are at all times.  Have a fabulous trip!!
