We are planning to be in Orlando on 4th of July but will not be staying on property. I was thinking of dining at Mickey's Backyard BBQ on the 4th. I was wondering what would be the best way to get to Fort Wilderness and will we be able to park there?

    Hi, Jocelyn!

I'm actually trying to decide between Mickey's Backyard BBQ & Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue on the 4th of July myself. Isn't planning fun!

If you have a dining reservation and personal vehicle to use while on your Orlando vacation, you will be able to park, at no charge, at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, regardless of whether you are staying on property. You'll be all set! Unfortunately, without knowing where in the Orlando area you are staying, I can't really give the best directions - but a quick search on Google Maps will be the best way to get you there.

Once you pull in past the guard gate, parking will be on your right. Once you park, you will than take an internal resort shuttle to the Outdoor Pavillon where this rootin', tootin' all-you-care-to-eat buffet dinner takes place. Once you're partied out with Mickey, you will take an internal resort shuttle back to the main parking lot.

I hope this helps, Jocelyn! Please let us know if we can be of additional help. I can't think of a better way to spend the 4th of July.
