We are planning one day at DL with my 5yearold daughter, can you tell me which rides and characters we should visit first before the lines get long?  Thank you.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again, Cindy.

Fantasyland is most likely the land that will appeal most to your 5-year-old daughter. Lines can become long very quickly. Unless you'll be staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, you won't have Extra Magic Hour to enter the Disneyland Park early. Your arrival date of August 25 is a Value Season day, meaning large crowds aren't expected but I still recommend arriving 20 to 30 minutes before the park opens to General Public. You'll have to allocate time for bag check and security, and line up at the entrance gate.

Peter Pan's Flight is a classic and well-loved by many. I have seen wait times for this popular attraction as long as 120 minutes. I suggest riding this first thing, followed by either Dumbo the Flying Elephant or Alice in Wonderland. Other attractions in Fantasyland tend to have shorter wait times.

As for Character Meet-and-Greets, look no further than Fantasy Faire. Your daughter can meet up to 3 Princesses in Royal Hall. Other fun ways for character experiences are Character Dining, or visiting Mickey and Minnie in their houses in Toontown.

I wish you and your family a magical Disneyland Resort vacation, Cindy. As always, please do not hesitate to visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
