Heigh ho, heigh ho, Michael, and welcome to planDisney!
Your question is about two of my favorite Walt Disney World experiences:
TRON Lightcycle / Run and
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. I'm so happy to help you kickstart your planning, so let's get right to it!
First of all, I love that you're thinking about the details of your trip this far in advance. When it comes to a Disney World vacation, I always respect a man with a plan! I can tell you're super excited to plot your magical adventure, so first, let's talk about how and when to make
Advance Dining Reservations and
Lightning Lane selections.
If you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to make Advance Dining Reservations 60 days in advance, for the entire length of your stay (up to 10 nights). You'll also be able to purchase and book your Lightning Lane passes 7 days before your check-in date, for up to 14 days. All other guests can make Advance Dining Reservations 60 days in advance and Lightning Lane selections three days in advance.
Michael, a trip through The Grid and a meal at Story Book Dining sounds like a practically
perfect Disney World evening. And fortunately, it's pretty easy to get from one to the other! Generally, a
Disney bus will be your quicker option, since the ride itself is only about 5 minutes. While
the boat is my favorite way to get to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge from Magic Kingdom, this option will take you a little longer (approximately 10-15 minutes).
Now, let's chat about your timing. A 4:40 Lightning Lane for TRON would be cutting it pretty close if you're hoping to eat at Story Book around 5:15. When it comes time to solidify your plans, I suggest giving yourself more time between these experiences. While the bus and boat rides are pretty short, you'll also need to factor in wait time, as well as the time it takes to exit the park and to walk from the boat dock to the restaurant.
I hope this helps, Michael, and that your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is as sweet as Snow White herself! If you have any other planning questions, you know

See ya real soon,
Allison
